Fiscal Responsibility in Government

Believe in life! Always human beings will live and progress to greater, broader, and fuller life. W. E. B. Du Bois

Infrastructure. Because of the times and the serious issues we’ll be tackling in the next four years, it’s very important that we watch every expenditure. During the next four years we must deal with the growing budget deficiet and job creation.  We must not take on additional debt unless it’s essential, and future non-essential projects need to be pay-as-you-go.

Safety Issues. The job of Alderman is to provide the best service to our community in the area of utilities, police department, fire department and roads. Everyone wants to feel safe and secure in case of an emergency.

Transparency In City Government. Where we find waste or unnecessary spending, I’ll work to cut the fat–not the meat. Two underlying principles will guide decision-making in my administration. The first will be the requirement that the City continue to be fiscally sound. The second is the job of prioritizing our “wants and needs” and establishing clear, specific goals to ensure the citizens of the 15th Ward have the best of essential services.

Administration. My goal will be to listen and make decisions that prove to be best for us all. I will work diligently with the departments of our city government, listening to both their needs and the needs of the community. From there we can establish a new understanding of budgeting and business management to the process of city government.
